Last Hit means doing the final blow to an enemy creep, in order to get the gold. It is an essential skill for every good player.

Last Hitting is important for lane control. When you are last hitting and denying effectively, then you can keep creeps close to your tower, which is helpful when avoiding ganks.

It is important when last hitting to remember that there is a difference between last hitting with a melee hero and last hitting of a ranged hero. With a melee hero you must stand a little ways aways from the creeps and hold, only going up to last hit. While with a ranged hero, you must move your hero around, and hitting the creep for the last hit from time to time.

Deny

To deny means to kill an allied creep (normaly one with few hit points left. Denying a creep reduces (or in the case of denying with a skill completely negates) experience gain for enemy heroes. A denied creep gives 66% of its normal experience value to the enemy hero if its a melee hero, and 33% if he is ranged. A creep must have below 50% life to be denied. Buildings can also be denied. Defense towers, for example, are often denied to prevent the opposing team from gaining the large amount of gold it gives when destroyed. Buildings, however, must have 10% or less of its maximum hit points to be denied.

An allied hero can also be denied, but only under certain circumstances. Namely, when the hero is stricken with a Damage Over Time skill and the hero has less than 25% of his maximum HP, you can deny (attack and kill) the hero in order to stop the opposing team from getting gold and experience. The buffs that can make a hero deniable are:

* Doom
* Shadow Strike (units afflicted by Viper Strike cannot be denied)
* Shadow Word
* Curse of the Silent

Denying will also trigger skills that trigger when killing an enemy creep, like Sadist or Blood Bath.
Skills for denying

Several abilities allow the user to kill an allied creep. Denying with such skills makes the creep give absolutely no experience to enemy heroes. The skills are:

* Dark Ritual
* Death Pact
* Conversion
* Infest

You could also type in -di or -cson any time in the game in order to activate the deny record chart. The deny record chart shows you how many lanes creeps did you kill and how many did you deny.

Exception:

* Toss

By tossing a creep, you deal damage to him, but if you kill a creep with a Toss, it is counted as a normal deny.

- Congratulations to the final 8 and everyone that participated and voted in the hero contest. Vodoun's hero was the primary selection with one ability from coldlikehell's hero. Once again, thanks to everyone participating in contest.

Luna Moonfang - The Moon Rider

Your primary attribute is agility so buy items and recipes containing this attribute
Try this, start with Ring of Regen then Wraith Band and Boots of Speed then 2x blade of alcrity and make Lothar's Edge so you will have the ability to Wind Walk either for quick getaway either for stealthy kill.
One must have item for Luna is HELM OF DOMINATOR or MASK of DEATH or any other life stealing item, because..... i will tell you later... You could buy Monkey King Bar ,Boots of Travel maybe Hyperstone...

Lucent Beam - [Level 4]
120 mana
Luna channels the moon's energy in the form of a Lucent Beam, dealing 300 damage to an enemy. 0.6 Ministun. Cooldown 6sec.
This spell is good for annoying/killing enemy heroes but personally, i don't like it.

Moon Glave [Level 4]
Gives Luna the ability to strike 5 units with each attack. Each enemy beyond the first incurs a 35% damage loss, per unit.
This is a passive spell that you must level up early, and this is the spell for which you need to have any life stealing item. You hit 5 enemies at once so you will gain nice hp from those items.

Lunar Blessing [Level 4]
An aura that gives friendly nearby units a 27% bonus damage to their ranged attacks.
This is also a passive spell/aura that needs leveling early. This and Moon Glave will be your primary focus if you ask me the others can w8.

Eclipse [Level 3]
The moon's magic is summoned, casting 10 Lucent Beams around Luna. Damage is equal to Lucent Beam level. No unit may be hit more than 4 times by this Eclipse. Cooldown 140sec.

Helm of the Dominator
The powerful headpiece of a dead necromancer. Gives +5 armor, +20 damage, 15% lifesteal, and the ability to Dominate creeps.

Lothar's Edge
The legendary Lothar's blade that was dropped during the Second War. Grants +21 damage, +21 agility, and a 9 second Wind Walk (Grants invisibility and +20% movement speed) Cooldown 17 seconds (ffs that's fast lol)

Monkey King Bar
A powerful staff used by a martial arts master. Grants +75 damage, 15% increased attack speed, and a 30% chance to deal 100 bonus damage on every attack stopping channeling spells.
